The solar carport for Marc in Bordeaux
Marc and his wife wished to invest on solar panels to produce electricity to reduce their everyday costs.
Given the increase in the price of electricity, they both wanted to find an alternative solution. They didn't want to do anything to the roof of their house. So, they quite understandably chose to go for a solar carport and its dual function: effective protection for their vehicle and electricity production for their everyday use.

The solar carport is an outdoor installation that protects vehicles effectively from UV rays, bad weather and, at the same time lets you charge up your electric vehicle and/or power the motor for your pool.
Have an installation that blends harmoniously into the already-existing setting. Solar panels that aren't overly visible and that don't spoil the outdoor space. Efficient energy production to meet daily domestic uses, such as the pool motor for example, which runs for 15 hours during the day in the summertime.

The solar panels work using solar energy. Solar energy is a free source of energy produced thanks to UV rays emitted by the sun. To convert this energy into electricity, you need to be equipped with a special installation with photovoltaic panels.
Each solar panel comprises photovoltaic cells, which will capture the rays emitted by the sun and transform them into direct electrical current. This direct electrical current continues its journey towards a solar micro-inverter to be converted into alternative current. Once converted, this current can be totally or partially sold to your energy supplier or it can be injected directly into your domestic network, which we call self-consumption.

The project timeline
- Step 1
Project definition: we draw up the project and choose the solution best tailored to the customer's needs and expectations. All the key aspects of the projects are determined and the decisive points are taken into consideration: installation, price, the project's technical requirements. Once project feasibility is approved by the parties, the purchase order, which specifies all key project information, then needs to be approved
- Step 2
For installing Marc's project, which is a totally-bespoke one, a quantity surveying technician goes on-site to take all the measurements required. The information is then transmitted to the Design Office to begin designing the product before its manufacturing is launched.
- Step 3
We agreed on a date with marc and his wife for setting up and installing their solar carport. The installation of this product is rather special, in particular the electrical part, with the teams of installers recognized as eco-friendly (French "RGE label" - Reconnu garant de l'environnement) for the everyday use of the photovoltaic-panel electricity production.
During the installation, the teams are delighted to explain to the customers how they can optimize their electricity production for their domestic uses on a daily basis. And, above all, how they can real-time check and monitor their electricity production via a mobile app on their smartphone. This will also enable the customer to spot more quickly if production is stopped and why.
- Step 4
Once the product has been installed, our After-sales Service is obviously on hand should the customer have any questions. The aim is also to support the customer in using this dual-function product. A set of documents is sent to customers with information on all the technical specifications, product options, use and how to look after their solar carport.
